    OTA works until the broadcasters move to the new broadcast standard (ATSC 3.0) and encrypt their streams. It locks out most digital boxes. In my area only NBC hasn’t added DRM to their broadcast.

    Only the digital boxes with a direct HDMI connection to a TV are allowed decryption keys at this point. This means if you want to watch on multiple TVs, you need an expensive box and antenna for each TV.

    It’s a shitty situation and I’m sailing this seas this year for my fucking local channels.
