You might be able to make an ADSB reciever. It’s transponder signals that power sites like ADSB Exchange
First time I heard it. I doubt Seed stopped production but maybe the place you ordered from decided to not stock any more at the moment? Odd.

And I agree efficiency is about speeding things up without losing the quality of the end result. And I think anyone that has been to a BMV can see the need for that kind of change but that’s not what they are after. They seem to just charge through the red tape and warning labels to do what they want

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK - the crazy questions all jobs on usajobs.gov now askEnglish
81·12 days agoimo the questions about efficiency and commitment to the constitution isn’t that crazy to ask upfront. If I remember right all federal employees have to swear an oath when they are hired. It also matches the one military officers say.
“I, ____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
But note that it makes no mention of loyalty to the President directly, unlike the oath of enlistment military enlisted members say (see below). That’s what I find most odd about these questions on USAjobs and what I think is crossing a line leaning towards political loyalty over constitutional loyalty.
I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

There was a PS2 game my dad had called Dirt to Daytona. It’s a racing game where you’re supposed to play the career mode going from driving dirt track beaters to modifieds, trucks and finally becoming a pro nascar racer. You can tweak the cars, paint them, and try to get sponsors to fund you before your money dries up.
It was a cool game, but all I did was play the quick race mode. I would turn off all the caution flags and played it as a crash and pit manuver simulator lol

4·22 days agoFor having a dedicated topo setup I would recommend OSMand. CoMaps/OrganicMaps does contour lines too but you can configure things way more in OSMand and it makes a huge difference. I have both apps so here are screenshots of the same place to compare

I have one sitting next to me right now! Good battery life and surprisingly good range for such a tiny node. Just don’t lose those fancy charging cables!

That reminds me there’s a game called Shadows of Doubt! You are a detective in a dystopian cyber noir world where corporations run everything.
