@sic_semper_tyrannis The Wikidata tag should link to the entry about the feature itself, so it will be different for each particular location (so, as most locations won’t have a Wikidata entry, no Wikidata tag can be added in OSM). The brand:wikidata refers to the Wikidata entry about the brand, so it’s the same for all locations under that brand and all locations can have the tag.

@Vroomfondel @Eyck_of_denesle Automated building drawing is totally possible and done. It requires an admissible (quality and license wise) source of data and a piece of software. The OSM Belgium documented the tool and process for the Belgian sources of building shapes: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject/_Belgium/Building/_and/_address/_import. Notice there are rules to automated imports: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import.

@Vroomfondel @interdimensionalmeme As pointed, with OsmAnd, CoMaps (https://www.comaps.app/), or similar, you can download maps for offline navigation. No need to self-host OSM itself.

@merde Yes, strictly speaking, it would require visual inspection. Depending on the situation and surroundings, common sense could suffice.

@merde “Lit” is broad in OpenStreetMap. The Wiki is enlightening on this (pun intended): “Lights do not need to be purpose-built to lit this specific object”. See also the tagging examples and accompanying pictures of bus stops:
